In May 2025, academic staff and researchers from the EpiCo partner universities gathered in Cartagena, Spain, for the project’s first Intensive Study Program (ISP). Hosted by the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT), the three-day event explored how epistemology, sustainability and ecology can be more deeply integrated into technology education across Europe.

The ISP marked a key milestone in EpiCo’s mission to develop interdisciplinary training modules that connect theoretical concepts with practical teaching strategies. The workshop tested a teaching-focused module using a transdisciplinary approach, combining lectures with hands-on activities. The resulting framework and tools will be used by participants in their future educational practices.
