What is Epico?
EpiCo is a three-year Erasmus+ project that integrates epistemology, ecology, and technology into higher education. It aims to develop interdisciplinary educational modules for students and teachers, focusing on the intersection of art, science, and sustainable technology. Through collaboration among European universities, EpiCo seeks to promote a holistic approach to technology education, addressing ecological challenges and enhancing understanding of cultural and social impacts on technological design.
What is the ECT Lab?
The European Culture and Technology Laboratory (ECT Lab+) is a research institute affiliated with the European University of Technology (EUt+), designed to foster interdisciplinary research across arts, humanities, social sciences, and technology. Its main focus is on exploring the cultural, ethical, and ecological impacts of technology in society. By integrating research from diverse disciplines, ECT Lab+ aims to encourage innovative approaches to technological education, emphasizing sustainability, ethical responsibility, and a broad understanding of the societal implications of technological advancements.
How can I be involved?
You can contribute to the EpiCo project in various ways, such as by participating in workshops, attending dissemination events, and engaging in Intensive Study Programs (ISP) designed for both teachers and students. Additionally, researchers and educators can collaborate by sharing expertise in interdisciplinary areas—such as epistemology, ecology, and technology—and can contribute to developing or testing educational modules. Finally, professionals interested in sustainability and technology education can support EpiCo’s initiatives by promoting its outcomes or hosting related events.
